"Just a Little Somethin"

So many times when I am helping someone accessorize a bookshelf, end table or nightstand they will say "I just feel like it needs a little something". My advice/solution to the problem is usually a small floral arrangement similiar to the ones shown below.

Not only does a floral add color and texture, it also adds softness and can be designed to fill the space perfectly height and width wise. I usually design the florals on the simple side but I try to find fun/funky containers that add interest to the piece without breaking the bank! Group one of these with a small candle and maybe a picture frame for a great look.

A combination of silk hydrangeas, dried natural grasses, wheat, pods and feathers came together beautifully in this great toile container. Florals add softness and texture to a room and draw the eye to a great piece of furniture such as this beautiful aqua chest.

Sunflowers, pheasant feathers, natural pods and pomegranates give these Fall arrangements texture and great color! Love this season.....

Fabulous Fall Color

Welcome your friends and family to your home with a beautiful fall wreath. Gorgeous harvest colors of red, gold, terracotta and green set the tone of the season. Realistic
pumpkins, gourds, silk botanicals and pheasant feathers add
texture and interest. A crushed silk wired ribbon in a beautiful bronze tone completes the look!

Silk vs Dried

Clients ask me quite often the pros and cons of silk florals vs. dried natural florals. I have always loved the look of a beautiful dried arrangement but to be honest they have approximately a two year "shelf life" . This can vary depending on the product but I always explain this to my customers. That being said, I typically use a mixture of dried and realistic silks in my arrangements to achieve a very realistic look that stays looking great for years. The arrangement above is an example of the combination.
