Fabulous Fall Color

Welcome your friends and family to your home with a beautiful fall wreath. Gorgeous harvest colors of red, gold, terracotta and green set the tone of the season. Realistic
pumpkins, gourds, silk botanicals and pheasant feathers add
texture and interest. A crushed silk wired ribbon in a beautiful bronze tone completes the look!

Think Outside the Box

Think creatively when choosing a container for a natural or faux floral arrangement. Just about any decorative accessory can be used as a container. I've made arrangements in everything from an antique coca cola bottle to a copper tea kettle. The arrangement shown was made in a
wooden faux book that opens. The use of an unusual or sentimental container adds interest and uniqueness to the arrangement. Think outside the box!

Beauty and...."a little beast"

I love working with clients who allow me to get
really creative. It's so much fun to work with
unusual containers or to incorporate unconventional elements into a floral arrangement. This arrangement includes antlers from the clients hunting trophies giving it a naturalistic feel.

Silk vs Dried

Clients ask me quite often the pros and cons of silk florals vs. dried natural florals. I have always loved the look of a beautiful dried arrangement but to be honest they have approximately a two year "shelf life" . This can vary depending on the product but I always explain this to my customers. That being said, I typically use a mixture of dried and realistic silks in my arrangements to achieve a very realistic look that stays looking great for years. The arrangement above is an example of the combination.

Master Bathroom Before Bonnetts

A beautiful master bathroom was enhanced recently with the addition of three silk/dried bonnetts above the cabinets. Notice how the arrangements added softness and color to the area.

Fall Color

Finally a touch of fall is in the air! Now is the time to start thinking about getting your home ready for the most beautiful season of all. I love to add pumpkins, gourds and rich colored leaves to my existing decor to add a festive touch here and there. I did this rustic sunflower arrangement for a client's lakehouse using a combination of high quality silks as well as dried natural products. The combination of rich colors, unusual shapes and textures in a unique container came together for a great example of fall color.
